Buccellati-Style Ruby-Incrusted Silver and 18K Yellow Gold Powder Compact and Lipstick Case
In good vintage condition, these beautiful pieces were most likely made in Italy in the 1940s. The compact and lipstick holder are decorated with Buccellati’s signature hand-engraved rigato (striated) or lattice satin finish, though there is no hallmark for the brand.
The compact is decorated with eight rubies and the lipstick holder with four rubies. The settings are 18K gold and the rest is 925 silver. It has a spring closure in yellow gold. Inside is a mirror 7.4cm by 4.6cm. The mirror is slightly scuffed at the edges commensurate with its age.
The lipstick holder has a hidden mirror that pops up when the case is opened.
The mirror is 3.9cm by 1.9cm.
There is a tiny piece missing from the edge of the mirror of the lipstick holder.
