Victorian Sterling Silver Card Holder from 1898

In good vintage condition, there are a few small dings.

Antique Victorian solid sterling silver card case. Rectangular shaped case with serpentine edges & decorated with bright cut hand chased acanthus leaf decoration on the front & back. The hinged lid at the top closes well. 

A lovely engraved foliate decoration gives it a rich elegant feel.

• Hallmarked: The maker’s name is hard to read. Made in Birmingham in 1898.
• Silver weight: 47.7g
• Size: 8.5cm by 4.8cm and 1cm deep.
