Sterling Silver Spice Box With Six Silver Bells

In good vintage condition, this is a beautiful piece. It unusually has six silver bells that tinkle charmingly.

The tower's chute terminates with a large plain ball style knop to a Magen Dovid.

The spice compartment supports four sterling silver bells and surmounts a knopped pedestal foot.

There is a little door with a cavity that is usually filled with cloves.

Hallmarked: Made by A Taite & Sons Ltd in Greatorex Street, London E1 & Whitechapel Road, London E1 and Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1960.

This company appears to be a successor to A Taitelbaum & Co. 

Silver Weight: 175g

Size: 29cm tall. The main part is 5cm across and the base has a 5cm diameter.
