Pair of Elaborate Frank Meisler Shabbat Candlesticks

In good vintage condition, these beautiful candlesticks are signed and numbered. It is a solid collectible from a well-known sculptor whose works are held and sold internationally. Please see our other items in this collection.

They are crafted in mixed metal alloys and gold and silver plated elements. They each have a door with a lion on that opens and inside is the blessing on lighting the candles in Hebrew.

The bases of the plinths are covered in black fabric. On each plinth in gold-plated metal there is the prayer for lighting the candles,

  בָּרוּך אַתָּה ה׳ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶך הָעוֹלָם אַשֶׁר קִדְשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו וְצִוָנוּ לְהַדְלִיק נֵר שֶל שַבָּת ויום טוב

“Blessed are You, Hashem, Ruler of the universe, who sanctified us with the commandment of lighting Shabbat and Yom Tov candles.”

The sconces are removable for ease of cleaning. One of them is a little tarnished, this is reflected in the price.

Size: They are 18cm tall with the plinths, 15cm without and have 7cm diameters. The plinths are 12cm by 12cm.
